Established in 1873 in Blundellsands, Liverpool, The West Lancashire Golf Club is one of the ten oldest golf clubs in England. It’s home to one of the most natural and challenging links courses in the British Isles.
Designed by C.K. Cotton, the course spans over 200 acres and follows the ideal layout of two nine-hole loops, with the 9th and 18th greens situated directly in front of the clubhouse.
The round opens with a demanding dogleg par-4 and maintains its intensity throughout. A particularly memorable stretch comes between the 7th and 9th holes, offering a thrilling test of skill. After tackling the tough par-3 12th, players are rewarded with stunning views from the elevated 13th tee — from there, it’s a relentless run of pure links golf. Every hole presents a fresh challenge, keeping you fully engaged from the first tee to the final putt.
